The WSR-88D radar used here is located in Cheyenne, WY (CYS). The images are generated from raw Level 2 data using only the lowest scan elevation available. Circular range rings are shown in green every 20 miles from the radar location. US and interstate highways are drawn in gray. Details within Fort Collins, CO include major roads, Horsetooth Reservoir, and the two dark red dots are the locations of CSU Main Campus (east) and CSU Foothills Campus (west). Other labeled cities are Estes Park (EST), Livermore (LIV), Loveland (LOV), Longmont (LMO), Boulder (BDU), Carr (CAR), Nunn (NUN), Ault (AUL), Windsor (WIN), Greeley (GXY), Platteville (PLT), Fort Lupton (LUP), Hereford (HFD), Grover (GRO), Briggsdale (BRG), Kimball (IBM), New Raymer (RAY), and Fort Morgan (FMM). The EF3 tornado went through Windsor (WIN) just a few minutes before noon (1800 UTC).
